If your kiln is destined for commercial use like a school, community center, government facility, or industry, you might need or already have three-phase power.

• Phase 3 wiring requirements for a kiln should be obtained from a certified electrician to ensure your kiln is able to safely operate.
• If hot glass is your hobby and you have an electric kiln on the property, along with a large, ducted air conditioning system, and other high-use electrical equipment, you might need or already have three-phase power.

Connection and operating fees for three-phase are higher than for one phase.

Electrical Connections:

• Single Phase 208 or 240 volts. Accounts for most domestic/residential situations. 
• Three Phase 400 and 415 volts. Common with industrial and commercial users like schools or community centers.
