Glastar grinding heads are available in different diameter sizes:
1/8", 1/4", 3/4" and 1" inch. A 5/8" size is available for the old model called Starlet glass grinder
Glastar grinding heads are available in 3 different diamond grits:
Standard 100 grit - all grinders are sold with standard 100 grit and are useful with everyday glass grinding
Coarse 60 grit - this grit option is recommended for quickly removing excess glass. Expect some glass chipping
Fine 220 grit - this grit option allows for fine delicate grinding where chipping is minimal or eliminated
Glastar Legacy of Quality
Glastar grinding heads outperform and outlast all other heads three to one. The secret is their unique diamond bonding that eliminates peeling, creating a uniform surface that lasts. This unique diamond-bonding process literally fuses the diamond particles to the grinding heads. The PBS System eliminates “peeling”. The diamonds are permanently bonded to the head with controlled spacing of the particles making it easier to cool while creating more cutting edges on each particle.
These innovations allow Glastar diamond heads to outperform the competition enabling the professional and hobbyist alike to maximize their time and performance
